About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team, focusing on the maintenance and repair of high-capacity lifting machinery. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational uptime and safety by performing complex diagnostics and preventative maintenance on equipment that powers major infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and DC electrical systems to ensure peak machine performance. Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules, including fluid analysis, filter replacements, and lubrication of critical components. Perform structural repairs and component replacements on boom assemblies, rotation bearings, outriggers, and sensor arrays. Utilize advanced diagnostic software and provided diesel laptops to streamline troubleshooting and improve repair accuracy. Conduct minor fabrication and welding tasks to maintain equipment integrity and safety standards. Maintain a high standard of shop organization and safety, working primarily within our climate-controlled, drive-through service bays. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair or a related mechanical field. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics. Demonstrated ability to perform welding and metal fabrication tasks. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on mechanical diagnostics. Preferred Skills Formal training or certification in crane or heavy machinery maintenance. Experience with advanced electronic control systems and sensor calibration. Commitment to continuous learning through manufacturer-provided training programs.
