Job Description

What You'll Do Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs) Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems, motors, starters, contactors, relays, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, steering, wheels, and suspension Use electrical meters and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve equipment issues Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical control systems Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, belt and chain inspections, and battery maintenance Repair forklift batteries, chargers, plugs, and tips; perform battery watering, washing, and general battery-area maintenance Perform welding and electrical repairs as needed Document maintenance, parts, and labor in the CMMS Respond to equipment emergencies and get machinery safely back into service Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance area Work closely with the operations and maintenance teams to keep equipment running reliably Follow OSHA and company safety requirements and help maintain a strong safety culture What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED 2+ years of forklift maintenance experience , or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and combustion systems Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics Comfortable using electrical meters and other diagnostic equipment Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach Ability to respond quickly and safely when equipment issues arise Preferred Qualifications Technical school education, ideally two years or more MHE 8-hour maintenance technician certification from a recognized manufacturer such as Crown, Raymond, or Hyster Forklift repair and diagnostic experience Welding experience PLC troubleshooting experience Technical degree or other formal maintenance training Why This Role?
