Diesel Mechanic Supervisor FLSA:
Hourly/Non-Exempt Salary Range:
$15.00 to $22.00 per hourALL FULL TIME POSITIONS
In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.JOB SUMMARY
The Primary duties of the Diesel Mechanic Assistant is to assist the Diesel Mechanic Supervisor with the daily functions of projects, repairs or maintenance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Knowledge of types of Diesel/Gasoline Engines.
- Knowledge of equipment and perform independently of others when needed.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of tools and machines needed to perform daily duties.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION
- Must have a High School diploma or GED.
- Able to assist in engine repair.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position may include any or all the following: Much of the work is performed in inclement weather and during all seasons. Some work is performed in confined areas, or on slick and wet surfaces. Employees are exposed to vibrations, loud continuous noise, offensive smells, dust, dirt and water, insect bites, poisonous plants, flying objects, slippery surfaces and hazardous materials. Must have the strength to pull, lift and/or push 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds (such as a bag of cement) on an infrequent basis. Flexibility to bend, twist and reach. Mobility to climb, crawl and walk. Dexterity to operate machinery and tools on uneven surfaces. Stamina to exert self throughout the day in all weather conditions. Exposed to hazards associated with operating heavy equipment: and machinery.Note:
