About the Role As a Field and Shop Equipment Mechanic, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for the diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of diverse heavy machinery. By leveraging advanced digital diagnostic tools and your mechanical expertise, you will ensure our fleet remains operational, safe, and highly productive for our clients. Responsibilities Execute complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across a wide range of heavy equipment. Utilize tablet-based diagnostic software to identify root causes, track service intervals, and streamline the repair process. Maintain accurate digital work order documentation to ensure fleet data integrity and operational transparency. Mentor junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge and best practices to elevate overall team performance. Manage parts procurement and logistics to minimize equipment downtime and maximize shop efficiency. Adhere to rigorous safety standards and environmental protocols during all maintenance and repair activities. Required Skills Advanced mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of equipment schematics and technical diagrams. Proficiency in using digital diagnostic tools and mobile technology for service management. Ownership of personal tools required for heavy equipment maintenance. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide excellent service to customers. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various positions. Preferred Skills Completion of a trade school certification program. Prior experience in field service, heavy equipment maintenance, or industrial repair. Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and industry-standard compliance.
