Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a forklifts and other industrial equipment. In this energetic role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably for our one-of-a-kind customers in our area. Your hands-on skills will keep our operations moving forward, supporting team productivity and safety every day. Duties Perform routine periodic maintenance inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts. Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and engine components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, alignment checks, welding, and component replacements to extend equipment lifespan. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to execute repairs accurately and efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all equipment serviced or repaired. Assist in assembly and disassembly of machinery for repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience working with dealership or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) heavy machinery or construction equipment servicing. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in fabrication, welding, electrical diagnostics, diesel engine repair, HVAC systems, and automotive diagnostics. Familiarity with schematics, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, powertrains including transmissions and diesel engines. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment and perform precise mechanical work safely. Excellent troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and complex machinery issues.
