Job Description

Garage Mechanic We are looking for a dependable Garage Mechanic with hands-on mechanical experience and technical training in diesel or automotive mechanics to support the maintenance and repair of vehicles, trucks, farm equipment, and machinery used throughout our agricultural operations. This is a hands-on mechanical position focused on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Candidates should have a solid mechanical foundation and be comfortable working on a variety of vehicles and equipment in an active farm environment. What You'll Do Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems. Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles, trucks, farm equipment, and machinery. Complete preventive maintenance according to established schedules. Inspect vehicles and equipment for mechanical and safety concerns. Perform oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and other scheduled services. Repair or replace worn and damaged mechanical components. Work with brakes, steering, suspension, batteries, and related vehicle systems. Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues. Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely. Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs as needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and completed repairs. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and safe. Follow company safety procedures and work instructions. Work with farm operations and other maintenance team members to minimize equipment downtime. Additional hours may occasionally be required based on equipment breakdowns or operational needs. Candidates should be comfortable with the schedule and flexibility required to support an active agricultural operation. What We're Looking For Previous hands-on mechanical repair and maintenance experience required. Technical education or training in Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related mechanical field required. Experience working with diesel vehicles, trucks, farm equipment, heavy equipment, or similar machinery. Knowledge of preventive maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting. Familiarity with brakes, steering, suspension, batteries, and basic electrical systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and standard shop equipment. Ability to identify mechanical problems and perform repairs safely and efficiently. Comfortable performing hands-on physical work throughout the shift. Able to work independently and as part of a maintenance team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Comfortable working in a garage/shop and agricultural environment. Willing to perform repairs indoors and outdoors depending on operational needs. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license Pennsylvania Class 7 Inspection License preferred. Interested? Apply Today! Are you available to consistently work 6:00 AM-4:00 PM, 5 days per week, plus one weekend half-day from 6:00 AM-12:00 PM? This position regularly requires more than 40 hours per week. All hours worked, including hours over 40, are paid at the regular hourly rate. Are you comfortable with this schedule and pay structure? This is a hands-on position that requires physical work and may involve lifting, bending, kneeling, working around equipment, and performing repairs indoors or outdoors.
