Job Description

About the Role As an Industrial Power Systems Technician, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for the diagnostics, maintenance, and performance optimization of heavy-duty diesel and natural gas engines. You will play a vital role in ensuring operational continuity for our clients in the energy and industrial sectors by delivering high-quality field service and technical support. Responsibilities Independently diagnose, repair, and rebuild complex industrial diesel, gas, and marine engine systems. Execute technical startups and performance testing to ensure equipment meets rigorous operational standards. Maintain and troubleshoot air compression and temperature control equipment to maximize system uptime. Perform precise assembly and disassembly of mechanical components following strict manufacturer specifications. Document service activities, generate detailed work orders, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Operate service vehicles safely while adhering to all Department of Transportation regulations. Maintain a high standard of tool organization and workspace safety in both field and shop environments. Qualifications Required Skills Completion of a technical or military trade school program, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing industrial diesel and natural gas engines. Valid commercial driver's license with the ability to pass required physical examinations. Physical capability to perform tasks in demanding industrial environments, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Preferred Skills Prior experience working with heavy-duty compression or power generation equipment. Advanced knowledge of engine management systems and electronic diagnostic software. Proven ability to work independently in remote or field-based settings. Commitment to ongoing professional development and technical certification attainment.
