Our client, a global mining equipment manufacturer and repair organization, is seeking a Mechanic Assistant to join their team. As a Mechanic Assistant , you will be part of the Repair Operations team supporting the shop maintenance and equipment rebuild department. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

$20.00- $25.00/hour (DOE) What's the Job? Assist an experienced mechanic with the repair and maintenance of mining equipment, including gearboxes, sprockets, and hydraulic components. Clean parts, perform equipment teardowns, and prepare components for inspection and assembly. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively. Maintain basic work logs and support shop organization and safety initiatives. Operate forklifts and overhead lifting equipment as needed to move materials and equipment. What's Needed? Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment repair and maintenance. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment. Previous forklift experience is preferred; training and certification will be provided. Valid driver's license and ability to work independently and as part of a team. What's in it for me?
