Full-time Position Summary Scenic Ridge Company is seeking an experienced Fleet Services Equipment Technician to maintain, diagnose, service, and repair company- and customer-owned vehicles and construction equipment. This is a hands-on position for a dependable technician with experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, complete shop and jobsite repairs, and help keep our fleet operating safely and reliably. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other equipment-related problems. Perform maintenance and repairs on construction equipment, vehicles, trailers, and related fleet assets. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance according to company procedures and manufacturer recommendations. Inspect vehicles and equipment for repair needs, maintenance concerns, and potential safety issues. Perform field service calls and complete repairs at jobsites when needed. Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist with emergency repairs. Test completed repairs to confirm that equipment operates properly before returning it to service. Communicate significant repair needs, unsafe conditions, and additional concerns to the Fleet Services Foreman. Complete accurate daily work orders documenting labor, parts, repairs, equipment condition, and recommended follow-up work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly use and care for company-provided tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment. Work cooperatively with other technicians, company divisions, and customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. At least two years of experience repairing and maintaining vehicles, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or similar machinery preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems is strongly preferred. Ability to diagnose and repair equipment within your level of training and experience. Ability to use or learn diagnostic software, fleet-management systems, and company computer systems. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate when required for assigned vehicles. Ability to safely operate the vehicles and equipment associated with the position. Willingness to participate in technical training and continuing education. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Regularly stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, kneel, and crawl. Use foot controls and perform repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation. Lift or carry up to 50 pounds and frequently lift or carry up to 25 pounds. Work in shop and jobsite environments around vehicles, construction equipment, tools, noise, grease, and changing weather conditions.
