Job Description
Denali Water Solutions LLC seeks a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment supporting environmental and biosolids operations. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems; conducting inspections for DOT and safety compliance; and completing accurate service records. The mechanic will support field operations, respond to equipment issues, and collaborate with drivers and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable fleet performance in a sustainability-focused environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrains on trucks and heavy equipment Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks on fleet vehicles Service and troubleshoot hydraulic, brake, and electrical systems Complete DOT-compliant inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records Respond to equipment breakdowns and support field operations as needed Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues Collaborate with drivers and operations teams to schedule and prioritize repairs Follow company safety procedures and environmental regulations in all work Assist with parts ordering, inventory, and shop organization Support continuous improvement of fleet reliability and maintenance practices Required Skills Diesel engine diagnostics Heavy truck repair Hydraulic systems maintenance Brake systems service Electrical troubleshooting Preventive maintenance (PM) DOT and safety inspections Service documentation Use of diagnostic tools Welding and fabrication
