Responsibilities Must Have Caterpillar Equipment Experience Must have experience with cat ET Must know how to weld Must be able to work 6 days a week Must have a good driving record and background check Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractors using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, hydraulic system troubleshooting, suspension adjustments, and air brake inspections. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to ensure equipment longevity. Troubleshoot electrical systems, including automotive diagnostics and wiring issues, utilizing schematics for accurate repairs. Operate heavy equipment safely during on-site repairs or field service calls to simulate real-world operational conditions. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repair needs and maintenance schedules. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or industrial machinery; dealership experience is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and tire service. Proficiency in reading schematics and OEM manuals for accurate troubleshooting and repair procedures. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment during repair processes. Experience with automotive repair techniques including brake repair, wheel alignment, electrical diagnostics, and assembly work. Knowledge of farm machinery and industrial equipment operation enhances your versatility in this role.
