$26.00-$35.00 per hour DOE Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Shop Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment. This position offers hands-on work, ongoing training, and opportunities for career growth. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documents. Utilize diagnostic tools and software, including CAT ET and CAT SIS. Inspect, test, and verify equipment performance. Install and replace parts and components as needed. Complete service reports, work orders, and related documentation. Operate lifting devices and shop equipment safely. Maintain a safe work environment and provide excellent service. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel or heavy equipment. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics. Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision. Working Conditions Primarily works indoors in a non-climate-controlled shop. Regular standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Frequent use of tools, diagnostic equipment, and computers. PPE required. Overtime, weekends, shifts, and on-call work may be required.
