Achilles HR is recruiting Heavy Equipment Shop Technicians for branches across the Midlands, Upstate, and Coastal regions of South Carolina. You'll maintain and repair equipment such as dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, and off-highway trucks, with access to CAT training, diagnostic technology, and experienced technicians. Previous CAT experience is helpful, but not required. If you've worked on diesel trucks, agricultural machinery, rental equipment, military equipment, or other diesel-powered machinery, your experience may be a strong fit. Opportunities are available for developing technicians and experienced mechanics. We'll consider your skills and preferred location when matching you with a branch. Relocation assistance is available for the right technician. What you'll do Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components. Disassemble equipment, inspect components, identify needed repairs, and reassemble to specifications. Perform preventive maintenance and test equipment after repairs. Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and electrical and hydraulic schematics. Operate lifting equipment safely and follow shop safety procedures. Manage parts requests and complete service reports and repair documentation. What you'll bring At least one year of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing diesel equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and attention to repair quality. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and service manuals. Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment. Availability for day shift, early starts typically between 6 and 7 a.m., and regular overtime.
