Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on power generation systems, including generators, engines, and electrical components. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend operational life. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools. Repair and replace engine parts such as pistons, valves, belts, and electrical wiring to restore optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical devices to execute repairs accurately. Follow safety protocols during manual handling of heavy machinery and ensure all work complies with industry standards. Collaborate with team members to diagnose complex equipment problems quickly and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience working with power equipment or heavy machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine repair, automotive repair, and small engine maintenance. Proficiency reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical diagnostics to identify issues precisely. Extensive electrical experience including electrical work, diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems in machinery. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting across power generation systems and mechanical systems repair. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other mechanical repair tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance tasks.
