Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic / Industrial Equipment Technician to join our warehouse maintenance team. This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working on electric and LP forklifts, and a commitment to safety and preventative maintenance. This position plays a critical role in supporting our warehouse operations by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring OSHA-compliant maintenance practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts and material handling equipment Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment Repair electric, propane, and diesel forklifts Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, and steering components Maintain service records and maintenance logs for all equipment Conduct safety inspections and ensure OSHA compliance Replace worn or defective components including motors, bearings, chains, and batteries Support repairs on additional warehouse equipment such as: Dock doors Dock levelers Conveyor systems Pallet jacks Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the maintenance area Work closely with operations teams to quickly address equipment issues
Qualifications:
Required:
2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or industrial equipment Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Experience troubleshooting electric and internal combustion forklifts Ability to read service manuals and wiring diagrams Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a warehouse environment Posses a drivers license with a clean
MVR Preferred:
Certification in forklift repair or industrial maintenance Experience with brands such as Toyota, Hyster, and Yale Welding or fabrication experience OSHA safety knowledge
