Primary Functions of theField Mechanic:
The Shop Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment in the field and in the shop. Main Responsibilities and Qualifications of theShop Mechanic:
- Able to follow company safety rules and regulations
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience
- Must have valid Driver's License and Medical Card
- Must operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner
- Must provide own hand tools
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair company equipment
- Order parts and supplies as needed for repairs to be performed
- Maintain accurate records of time, parts, and materials
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and climb onto equipment (3-4 ft)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Ability to work in varied weather and shop conditions
