Coeur Wharf is an open-pit, heap-leach gold operation and the only gold mine operating in South Dakota. Located in the northern Black Hills, Wharf is the only known operating mine that shares a hillside with a ski resort, Terry Peak.
Coeur Wharf has been part of the local community since 1983, actively volunteering and supporting the arts, educational programs, beautification events and childrens and wellness programs.
Approximately 250 miners, geologists, engineers, environmentalists, operators and various business leaders are employed at the mine and call South Dakota home. Perform the Oilers duties, daily lubrication tasks on all mobile equipmentPerform regularly scheduled PM services and have knowledge of any and all current lubricants being usedComplete preventive maintenance inspections of mobile and fixed equipmentMaintain service equipment such as service trucks, fuel pumps, lubricant systems and other equipment needed to perform required dutiesRepair, rebuild and maintain equipment such as loaders, trucks, cranes, motor graders bulldozers, pumps, conveyors, jaw and cone crushersDismantle and reassemble mobile, fixed and crushing equipment with some supervisionExamine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges Perform troubleshooting and adjustments to all hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical (24V) equipment, mobile and fixedReplace defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions. Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiencyWeld together metal components as specified by layout, blueprint, work order or oral instructionWeld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positionCut metal plate or structural shapes, hard surface and air arcsCreate work orders and job requests when necessaryMaintain a clean and citation-free mine site environmentPerform daily workplace and equipment safety inspections

Job:
The Maintenance Shop Mechanic is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner.Responsibilities:

Preferred Background/Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent A vocational-technical college degree1-3 years experience in equipment maintenanceBasic computer knowledgeRequired Qualifications & Skills:
