Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trailers to ensure they are in safe and working condition. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailers
  • perform PM maintenance on road tractors & trailers
  • Must complete DOT Inspections on trucks & trailers (preferred DOT inspection certification or willingness to train)
  • Must have Transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to keep inventory of all parts
  • Must be able to write invoices and keep files on all equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical issues
  • Replace or repair damaged parts, such as brakes, tires, lights, and wiring
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
  • Test and troubleshoot trailer systems to identify problems and provide effective solutions
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Trailer & Truck Mechanic or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of truck & trailer systems, including air brakes, electrical wiring, and hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment repair and maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills Preferred Skills (not required but a plus):
  • Class A license (preferred but not required)
