Equipment Manager / Lead Turf Equipment Technician Paris Country Club | Paris, Tennessee Full-Time | Year-Round Position Paris Country Club is seeking a skilled, dependable, and highly organized Equipment Manager / Lead Turf Equipment Technician to take ownership of our golf course equipment fleet and maintenance shop. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on mechanic who takes pride in solving problems, maintaining exceptional cutting quality, and keeping equipment ready when the team needs it. You'll work directly with the Golf Course Superintendent and play an essential role in the continued improvement of our historic nine-hole private club. What You'll Do Maintain, diagnose, and repair golf course maintenance equipment, including reel and rotary mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers, small engines, and specialty turf equipment. Develop and manage a proactive preventive-maintenance program. Inspect, sharpen, adjust, and set reels to deliver excellent cut quality. Diagnose gasoline, diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical problems. Perform fabrication and welding when needed. Maintain accurate service histories, maintenance schedules, and parts records. Order and manage parts, fluids, tools, and shop supplies within an established budget. Inspect equipment regularly and communicate repair priorities with the superintendent. Train team members on proper equipment operation, daily inspections, and basic care. Maintain a clean, safe, efficient, and well-organized maintenance facility. Assist with golf course and property projects when time and operating needs permit. Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: A dependable, self-motivated problem solver who can manage the shop with limited supervision. Experienced in mechanical repair and preventive maintenance. Familiar with gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and small engines. Capable of maintaining and properly setting precision reel-cutting equipment. Organized, safety-conscious, and able to prioritize repairs during busy periods. A strong communicator who works well with the superintendent and maintenance team. Willing to take ownership of the equipment fleet and build a maintenance program for long-term success. Previous golf course or turf-equipment experience is strongly preferred, but we will consider an accomplished mechanic from the agricultural, automotive, heavy-equipment, small-engine, or fleet-maintenance industries who is motivated to learn turf equipment. Why Paris Country Club? This is more than a position for someone who simply fixes equipment after it breaks. We are looking for a key member of our leadership team who wants the freedom to improve a shop, develop systems, and make a visible impact on the golf course.
