GBR Roofing & Sealants, LLC is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Construction Runner to support our field crews, shop operations, and project sites. This position is responsible for delivering tools, materials, equipment, PPE, and other supplies while helping ensure our jobsites have what they need to operate safely and efficiently. This position requires regular travel to various jobsites. Candidates must be willing and able to travel overnight , sometimes with limited notice, based on operational needs. Primary Responsibilities Deliver and pick up tools, equipment, materials, PPE, and documents. Transport supplies between the company shop, vendors, and jobsites. Travel to local and out-of-town jobsites, including overnight trips. Inspect tools and equipment for visible damage or maintenance needs. Assist with basic troubleshooting, minor repairs, and equipment setup. Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and work areas. Verify deliveries and maintain required documentation. Communicate delivery status, delays, and equipment concerns to management. Follow assigned routes and complete deliveries within required timeframes. Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after use. Assist shop and field personnel with general operational tasks as needed. Follow all company, client, traffic, and jobsite safety requirements. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license. Clean driving record and ability to remain insurable under the Company's vehicle policy. Mechanically inclined , with the ability to understand basic tools, equipment, and mechanical systems. Willingness and ability to travel overnight and remain out of town as required. Flexibility to travel with limited notice when operationally necessary. Dependable transportation to and from the assigned reporting location. Ability to safely operate a company truck or other assigned vehicle. Strong attendance, punctuality, and time-management skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Professional attitude and effective communication skills. Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently. Ability to load and unload tools, materials, and equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and changing weather conditions. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Preferred Qualifications Previous construction, roofing, warehouse, delivery, or shop experience. Experience operating trailers or transporting construction equipment. Basic knowledge of pumps, generators, power tools, or small engines. Familiarity with commercial roofing materials and equipment. Experience using GPS, delivery-tracking, or inventory systems.
