Job Description:
System Installation Technician Join the MVT family!!! Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring System Installation Technician in El Paso, TX! Job Summary The System Installation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting tracking devices, cameras, and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) on trucks and trailers, as well as servicing tire pressure systems and related components. The role also includes updating truck parameters, conducting repairs, and documenting all work in maintenance software. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install cameras, tablets, and tracking devices on trucks/trailers. Remove and replace damaged GPS trackers. Conduct inspections and maintain the tire pressure system in trucks. Check and adjust pressure system boxes on trailers, including replacing pressure system lights as needed. Install and uninstall test products as required. Conduct repairs on wheel covers. Install Electronic Logging Device (ELD) on new units and addresses damaged or faulty parts. Adjust and/or update truck parameters using Cummins Power Spec and OE software. Document repairs in maintenance software accurately and effectively. Troubleshoot tracking devices to ensure proper functionality.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. One year of mechanical experience preferred. Vocational/technical school preferred. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and within a team setting. Ability to use hand tools. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Prolonged periods of standing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception.
Wage Range:
15.00 - 15.00 per hour
