Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CAT Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment, including Caterpillar (CAT) equipment, D10 Dozers, D11 Dozers, excavators, cranes, and other Mine Site equipment . Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support our operational needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with dealership experience and a passion for heavy equipment to showcase their technical skills in a fast-paced environment. You will work with advanced OEM parts, schematics, and cutting-edge tools to deliver top-tier service. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as CAT machinery, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, transmission servicing, hydraulic system troubleshooting, suspension adjustments, and tire services. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet specific operational requirements. Utilize electrical knowledge to diagnose and repair electrical systems in industrial equipment and automotive components. Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols related to air brake systems, HVAC systems, alignment procedures, and diesel engine repairs. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues. Assist with assembly or disassembly of large equipment components and perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs or installations. Skills Proven dealership experience with Caterpillar (CAT) or other OEM heavy equipment brands. Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; proficient with hand tools and power tools for equipment repair. Ability to read schematics accurately for electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or tractor-trailers is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills coupled with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics combined with experience in tire service and vehicle maintenance enhances versatility. Join our team if you're passionate about heavy machinery maintenance!
