The Opportunity Lonestar Forklift is looking for a mechanically inclined Planned Maintenance Technician (Heavy Equipment Mechanic) to join our Service team in Garland, Texas . Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities As a Planned Maintenance Technician your key responsibilities will include: Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery Diagnosing and completing equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs Tracking parts for ongoing service jobs Completing work order forms Communicating with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs Proactively identifying maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment Following established warranty processes Required Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies: 1 to 2 years of heavy equipment repair experience in a related industry, such as heavy machinery or material handling equipment Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts Strong work ethic and a positive attitude High school diploma Valid driver's license Benefits & Perks Lonestar Forklift is proud to offer competitive compensation and flexible benefits coverage for all eligible employees: Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental benefits for you and your dependents Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability - 100% employer paid Employee assistance programs 401K matching Ongoing professional development opportunities The base pay range for this role is: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
