Job Overview:

The essential role of chassis repair mechanics to maintain, and repair trailers used for national and international shipping distribution. A chassis repair mechanic performs preventative and corrective maintenance when equipment is out of service or when stationary in the distribution yard.

Job Responsibilities and accountability:

• Troubleshoot and repair all chassis/trailer defects.
• Including ABS systems; air brake system, wheels end, and structural assemblies
• Some welding and fabrication of chassis and shipping containers.
• Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs.

Job Requirements:

• Mechanical background.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a substance screening
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather
• Must be willing to travel approximately 25%
• Capable of working at heights of 50 to 150 feet
• Must be willing to work all shifts as required
• Capable of lifting 50lbs with or without assistance
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must have basic computer skills and comfortable working on a computer.
