Facilities Services General Requirements:

High school graduate or G.E.D. Prefer technical/vocational training related to job duties. A minimum of four years of skilled experience using various types of tractors, backhoes, and excavator equipment or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Requires a Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

Provides skilled work in the operation of the University's equipment and machines. Provides maintenance and repair of campus streets, signage, and parking areas. Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Responsible for campus wide services which require the use of various pieces of equipment. Maintains and makes repairs to asphalt and concrete parking lots and campus streets. Responsible for the installation, care, and maintenance of signs for traffic and parking control. Lays out and paints parking areas and street crosswalks. Maintains various pieces of shop equipment such as Graco Line Driver HD Ride on Striping Machine. May excavate areas for water, gas or sewage line repair or replacement. May assist with the installation of any new underground lines or systems. Performs other related duties as assigned.
