Field Equipment Mechanic Job description: Position Summary BEAM is seeking an experienced Field Equipment Mechanic based in Hutchins, TX, to support construction equipment and projects throughout our DFW service area. The ideal candidate needs 3-5 years of experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. This role requires working 40-65 hours per week, including local travel to project sites within 50 miles of the shop and occasional weekend work. Job Duties Troubleshoot and repair construction equipment in the shop and at job sites. Perform routine maintenance and equipment inspections. Respond to local service calls and occasional after-hours support. Keep assigned service truck and tools organized and ready. Complete service paperwork accurately. Follow all safety standards and DOT regulations. Equipment You'll Work On This role supports a wide variety of construction equipment, including: Trowel machines, Generators, Concrete saws, Concrete vacuums, Light plants, Skid steers, Forklifts, Rough-terrain forklifts, Pickup trucks and other construction and support equipment. Qualifications 3-5 years of mechanic experience preferred CDL A or B but not required Experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing construction equipment, vehicles, or similar equipment Ability and willingness to travel regularly and stay overnight for extended assignments Ability to comply with all applicable DOT requirements and regulations Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively with shop and project teams Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship Must provide and maintain the personal tools necessary to perform the position Successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment drug screening and a satisfactory background check.
