As an Automotive Shop Assistant, you'll assist experienced mechanic with day-to-day tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical equipment and systems. This is a great entry-level role for someone looking to build a career in the mechanical trades.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation and repair of mechanical systems and equipment Change oil, replace filters, and perform basic fluid checks Mount, balance, and change tires Support with general automotive maintenance and light repairs Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites Maintain a clean and safe work environment Support lead mechanic with various tasks as directed Perform basic measurements, cutting, and assembly work Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times

Requirements:

Basic mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments Willingness to learn and take direction Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Must be dependable and punctual

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7am - 5pm On-site position Hours may vary slightly based on project demands
