Job Title:
Mechanical Owners Representative Job Description The Mechanical Owner's Representative will oversee construction projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role demands a proactive presence on-site, coordination with contractors, and documentation of project progress. Responsibilities Maintain a regular presence on site during contractor working hours. Act as a safety steward, adhering to all safety requirements and reporting any safety concerns or deficiencies. Monitor the quality of mechanical construction, ensuring compliance with permits, agreements, and project specifications. Serve as a liaison between all mechanical contractors on site. Review test reports for accuracy and completeness, as well as contractors' mechanical QAQC documentation. Conduct daily visits to construction areas, participate in quality benchmarks, and attend safety programs. Witness scheduled field testing for mechanical work to ensure results meet specifications. Perform spot checks and in-depth inspections as per project needs. Facilitate regular connections with contractors, including attending Plan of Day and End of Day meetings. Establish positive working relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering collaboration. Report any deviations from project specifications to the appropriate parties promptly. Provide weekly written records and photos of on-site progress and discussions. Attend in-office or virtual training and meetings, applying learnings to project work. Utilize construction management software for reports and documentation. Participate in virtual meetings or document review when not on-site. Essential Skills Utility Scale Single Axis System Quality Control Experience with Nextracker and ATI Mechanical and solar inspection skills 2+ years of mechanical installation experience on utility-scale solar projects Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in quality control for mechanical, electrical, or civil projects Prior experience with Nextracker racking is advantageous Work Environment This position requires 100% travel to project sites in Missouri, New Mexico, and Nevada. The work involves building solar farms with tight deadlines and budget constraints, demanding the ability to handle pressure. The role includes working with panels that tilt throughout the day and managing underground collection systems. Candidates can expect an average of 10 hours of overtime per week, a daily per diem, reimbursable travel expenses, and car rental provisions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Livingston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
