We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician to join our shop service team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality service across construction, forestry, and land-clearing equipment, with access to OEM training and software. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including excavators, chippers, forestry equipment, skid steers, and mulching machinery using OEM manuals and schematics Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, transmission service, and hydraulic system repairs Troubleshoot electrical systems, sensors, and diesel engines to accurately identify issues Safely operate equipment during testing to verify repairs and performance Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports Assist with assembly of new equipment and perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime Any other additional duty assigned Qualifications Must have heavy equipment tools (to name a few, wrenches, sockets, pneumatic and/or battery powered) Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician or Service Technician Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics and diesel engine repair Ability to read and interpret schematics and OEM manuals Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, and power tools Familiarity with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery Ability to lift heavy components safely and work with attention to detail Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset What We Offer Work-life balance with a stable schedule Safe, well-equipped shop environment Ongoing training and development, including OEM certifications Opportunities for career advancement
