Heavy Equipment Technician:

As an Advanced Heavy Equipment Mechanic , you'll work independently or alongside senior technicians to repair and maintain Caterpillar machinery for customers across the construction and oilfield sectors.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy and light Caterpillar equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Rebuild or service Frac transmissions and drivetrain components
• Complete preventative maintenance and installation of replacement parts
• Operate from a fully equipped field service truck (for applicable roles)

Requirements:

• Must own tools required to perform advanced heavy equipment repairs
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or technical certification preferred
• Previous mechanic or military experience required
• Strong understanding of electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and execute advanced repairs independently ✅

Strongly Preferred Experience:

• Frac transmission rebuild and assembly
• Welding and fabrication (MIG, arc welding, gouging, torch use)
• Experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motor systems
• Service training through OEMs, tech schools, or dealer programs Heavy Equipment Technician levels and pay are determined by your experience, knowledge, and technical skill.
