Heavy Equipment Technician:
As an Advanced Heavy Equipment Mechanic , you'll work independently or alongside senior technicians to repair and maintain Caterpillar machinery for customers across the construction and oilfield sectors.Responsibilities include:
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy and light Caterpillar equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Rebuild or service Frac transmissions and drivetrain components
- Complete preventative maintenance and installation of replacement parts
- Operate from a fully equipped field service truck (for applicable roles)
- Document repairs and collaborate with mentors or supervisors when needed 💡 Top Benefits for

Requirements:
- Must own tools required to perform advanced heavy equipment repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or technical certification preferred
- Previous mechanic or military experience required
- Strong understanding of electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and execute advanced repairs independently ✅
Strongly Preferred Experience:
- Frac transmission rebuild and assembly
- Welding and fabrication (MIG, arc welding, gouging, torch use)
- Experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motor systems
- Service training through OEMs, tech schools, or dealer programs Heavy Equipment Technician levels and pay are determined by your experience, knowledge, and technical skill.
