Job Description
Collision Center Mechanical Technician Bluebonnet Collision Center - New Braunfels, TX Bluebonnet Collision Center is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanical Technician to join our collision repair team. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair mechanical issues resulting from collision damage Perform suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain repairs Remove and install engines, transmissions, radiators, cooling system components, and other mechanical parts as needed Perform A/C system repairs and related procedures Diagnose electrical and mechanical concerns Perform pre- and post-repair inspections Complete mechanical repairs according to manufacturer repair procedures Perform alignments and suspension adjustments when applicable Assist with vehicle teardown and reassembly when mechanical components are involved Perform scans and assist with diagnostics as required Identify additional mechanical damage and communicate findings to the estimator or production team Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards What We're Looking For Previous experience as an automotive mechanical technician Collision repair experience is preferred, but not required Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Experience working on late-model vehicles Ability to read and follow OEM repair procedures Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license Own basic hand tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Collision-related mechanical repairs Suspension and steering systems Brake systems Cooling systems A/C systems Electrical diagnostics Engine and transmission R&I ADAS-related mechanical repairs Vehicle scanning and diagnostics Wheel alignments OEM repair procedures Why Join Bluebonnet Collision Center?
