Yard Technician II National Tank & Equipment - 1.5 Pasadena, TX Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Qualifications Lifting equipment TWIC Card Forklift Driver's License Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description As our Yard Technician II, your mission is to prepare, inspect, and maintain rental equipment while supporting yard, field, and transportation activities. You will work more independently than a Yard Technician I and help develop newer employees. What You Will Do Equipment Preparation & Inspection Inspect, clean, stage, and prepare rental equipment for customer use and transportation. Conduct pre-rental and post-rental inspections to identify damage, wear, missing components, or operational issues. Verify equipment readiness by ensuring all required accessories, hoses, fittings, and supporting materials are available and in good working condition. Document inspection findings and communicate maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. Perform basic corrective actions to improve equipment readiness and appearance. Maintenance & Field Support Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic service tasks on pumps, frac tanks, filtration equipment, and related rental assets. Troubleshoot minor mechanical, hydraulic, and operational issues and escalate complex repairs as needed. Assist mechanics and technicians with equipment repairs, testing, and maintenance activities. Support equipment installations, customer site deliveries, equipment setups, and field service activities as assigned. Operate company vehicles, forklifts, pressure washers, and other authorized equipment safely and effectively. Yard Operations & Inventory Control Load, unload, organize, and stage equipment throughout the yard to support operational efficiency. Assist with inventory counts, equipment tracking, and asset identification processes. Maintain yard organization and ensure equipment storage areas remain clean, safe, and accessible. Support drivers, berm technicians, mechanics, and other branch personnel to meet customer and operational needs. Monitor equipment utilization and communicate inventory shortages or equipment availability concerns. Training & Team Support Assist with onboarding and training Yard Technician I employees on equipment handling, inspections, yard operations, and safety procedures. Serve as a resource for less experienced employees by sharing job knowledge and best practices. Promote teamwork and support a positive, safety-focused work environment. Lead by example in adherence to company policies, customer service expectations, and operational standards. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety, environmental, inspection, documentation, and operating procedures. Conduct work in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and branch safety standards. Report equipment damage, safety concerns, incidents, near misses, and hazards promptly. Utilize proper lifting techniques and request assistance when handling heavy or awkward loads. Maintain required certifications, licenses, and training assignments. To Succeed, You Will Need Forklift experience or ability to obtain authorization. 2+ yrs exp. working in a yard, warehouse, construction, or equipment. Must have mechanical apitute and basic troubleshooting skills Must be able to pass a DOT physical and possess a valid driver's license for more than 3 years with a moderately clean driving record. Possess or can obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card. Must be willing to work an on-call schedule. Job Location & Schedule This position is based at our Pasadena location and requires local field service travel. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime and participation in a rotating on-call schedule.
