Job Description
Overview We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Golf Course Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will support the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of golf course equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about machinery, mechanical systems, and outdoor sports facilities. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, reliable, and ready to contribute to keeping the golf course running smoothly. Responsibilities Assist in diagnosing and repairing various golf course equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, and turf machinery. Support the maintenance of mechanical systems such as engines, hydraulics, and electrical components using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques for repairs and modifications. Help with heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment parts during repairs or replacements. Assist in troubleshooting electrical diagnostics and repairing electrical systems on machinery. Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive or equipment repair. Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagnostics, diesel engine repair, and heavy machinery systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Knowledge of generator repair and Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is a plus. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or external vendors.
