Heavy Equipment Mechanic Posted on September 26, 2025 September 26, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy machinery and related equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the facility and in the field. Position Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ensure repairs meet safety and operational standards. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Use diagnostic tools and manuals to identify issues. Recommend and carry out effective repair solutions. Verify equipment performance after maintenance or repair. Parts & Record Management Order and manage replacement parts as needed. Maintain accurate logs of services and repairs performed. Safety & Compliance Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Perform inspections to ensure equipment is compliant and reliable. Prerequisites Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, technician, or similar role. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic tools. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required) ASE Certification in Heavy Equipment or Diesel Mechanics. OSHA safety certification. CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
