Heavy Line Technician Focus:

Heavy mechanical repairs, steering, suspension, brake systems, and transmission replacements. Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Heavy Line Technician who excels at heavy-duty mechanical teardowns and replacements. In this role, you will handle the structural and drivetrain core of the trucks—specializing in steering, suspension, air brakes, wheel ends, and transmission/clutch replacements. If you are a productive mechanic who loves diving into heavy-line mechanical work, you'll fit right in here. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heavy-duty steering, suspension, and alignment components. Perform full brake overhauls, air system troubleshooting, wheel seal replacements, and wheel end work. Remove, repair, and reinstall heavy-duty manual and automated transmissions, clutches, and drivelines. Execute bumper-to-bumper mechanical component replacements (radiators, water pumps, exhaust systems). Maintain high shop productivity while ensuring all heavy mechanical work meets strict safety standards. Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience handling heavy-line repairs on Class 5-8 commercial trucks. Strong proficiency with air brake systems, torque specs, and heavy rigging/lifting equipment. Must possess a complete set of professional hand tools, impact tools, and a rolling toolbox. Valid driver's license required; CDL (Class A or B) is a major plus.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
