Overview Join our dynamic team as a Crane Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy construction and industrial equipment. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service a wide range of machinery including cranes, semis, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting large-scale construction projects and industrial operations. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other construction machinery using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, switches, and control panels to identify issues quickly. Repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal machine performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance devices to execute repairs accurately and efficiently. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; complete maintenance logs and safety documentation in compliance with company standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using cranes or forklifts during equipment assembly or replacement procedures. Support fabrication projects by modifying or customizing equipment parts as needed to meet operational requirements. Qualifications Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or crane technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including hydraulics, suspensions, transmissions, and diesel engine diagnostics. Skilled in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical systems on industrial equipment. Familiarity with schematics, OEM manuals, and technical diagrams for accurate repairs. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and effectively. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and diagnostic testing tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients. Join us in keeping our fleet running smoothly! $32.00 - $42.00 per hour
