Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on equipment such as cars, trucks, Diesels, and heavy trucks using diagnostic and eletrical testing tools. Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on vehicles and machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoot mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, air brakes, and HVAC systems on-site or at customer locations. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other specialized machinery to execute repairs efficiently. Replace or repair vehicle components such as shocks & struts, tires, brakes, and electrical systems while adhering to manufacturer specifications. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed for equipment repair or customization using welding and fabrication techniques. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for transparency and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or automotive technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures for trucks including air brake systems and alignments. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in various outdoor environments under different weather conditions.
