Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Field Mechanic, where you will be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems directly on-site. Duties Conduct on-site diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and pickup trucks using OEM schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, wheel alignments, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical troubleshooting. Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, welding equipment, and power tools to ensure optimal machine performance. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or assembly tasks to facilitate efficient service delivery. Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to identify issues accurately and implement effective solutions. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with all service interactions. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications. Ensure Telematic systems are reporting correct data and GPS information. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership background preferred; familiarity with OEM parts and systems is highly advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and tire service. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; ability to use power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software for automotive or industrial equipment troubleshooting. Experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, forklifts, tractor-trailers or similar machinery. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks. Physical ability to lift heavy components regularly and perform demanding manual labor in various outdoor environments.
