The primary focus of this role is assembling, inspecting, setting up, servicing, and repairing golf carts, utility vehicles, compact tractors, and related equipment. Equipment supported includes KIOTI tractors, E-Z-GO golf carts and utility vehicles, Grasshopper mowers, and other manufacturer product lines represented by Mountain West Power Equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level, developing, or experienced technician who wants hands-on experience, manufacturer training, and a clear path for advancement into higher-level diagnostic and repair work. Job Summary What You'll Do Assemble, inspect, and prepare new equipment for customer delivery. Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) according to manufacturer standards. Install accessories, attachments, and customer-requested options. Complete tractor, golf cart, mower, and utility vehicle setups. Perform routine maintenance services, including fluid changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and scheduled inspections. Diagnose and repair basic mechanical, electrical, and operational issues. Assist senior technicians with more advanced diagnostics and repairs. Test equipment to verify proper operation and customer readiness. Accurately document completed work, labor, and parts used on repair orders. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and staging equipment as needed. Support the Parts and Service Departments with equipment preparation and service-related tasks. Participate in manufacturer and company training programs to develop technical skills. What You'll Need Must possess or be willing to acquire a basic technician tool set. (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.) Mechanical aptitude and an interest in equipment repair and maintenance. Ability to safely use common hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to follow repair procedures, checklists, and manufacturer instructions. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to lift parts and components and work in a shop environment. Preferred Experience One or more years of experience in any of the following is preferred, but not required: Equipment assembly or setup Golf cart repair and maintenance Tractor or mower service Automotive repair Powersports repair Small engine repair Construction or agricultural equipment maintenance Recent technical school graduates and mechanically inclined candidates are encouraged to apply.
