  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Mechanic specialized in cement trucks and heavy construction machinery to join our dynamic maintenance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of cement trucks, construction equipment, and industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting large-scale infrastructure projects with reliable, well-maintained equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about heavy equipment and construction machinery maintenance to make a tangible impact on our projects. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on cement trucks, including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operational efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify machinery as needed. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other construction machinery. Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports to track maintenance history and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of construction machinery components during repairs or upgrades. Support customer service efforts by providing technical guidance on equipment operation and maintenance best practices. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment servicing, preferably within dealership or industrial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, HVAC systems, tire service, brake repair, welding, and fabrication. Familiarity with schematics reading and OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Experience working with construction equipment such as cement trucks, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently; prior heavy equipment operation experience is a plus. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices and other maintenance tools. Knowledge of safety standards related to vehicle maintenance including air brake systems and alignment procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service orientation to assist team members effectively. Certifications in diesel engine diagnostics, electrical diagnostics or automotive repair are highly desirable; dealership experience is preferred. Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs; strong attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs is essential.
