You will maintain our expansive fleet, including the largest Vac-Con fleet in the PNW, so we can continue providing quality environmental services to our communities. We're looking for a highly experienced mechanic who can confidently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and Class A trucks in a fast-paced shop environment. To thrive in this role, you must have strong diesel, electrical, hydraulic, welding, and diagnostic experience and be comfortable taking ownership of complex repairs. Have 5-7+ years of heavy equipment and/or heavy truck mechanic experience Have strong knowledge of diesel engines, aftertreatment/emissions systems, hydraulics, air brakes, and 12-volt/CAN bus electrical systems Have experience using Cummins INSITE, Cat ET, and DiagnosticLink 8 Can confidently complete brake jobs and wheel-end repairs on Class A trucks Are a skilled welder and comfortable using a cutting torch Are willing to work extended hours when needed and alongside a less-experienced crew Have your own hand tools up to 1½", including wrenches and sockets Are a motivated, independent problem-solver What you'll LOVE doing... Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment and truck issues Performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and major and minor repairs Repairing diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspensions, steering, and fuel systems Using diagnostic software to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues Performing welding, fabrication, and cutting as needed Completing Federal DOT inspections on commercial vehicles What is Pro-Vac?
