Are you a hands-on mechanic who likes diagnosing and fixing equipment? We're looking for an experienced Shop Service Technician to join our Kent, WA service team. This is a full-time, in-shop position working on a variety of heavy-duty equipment. If you have strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills and enjoy figuring out what's wrong and getting equipment back in service, this could be a great fit. What You'll Work On You'll work on a variety of equipment, including: Articulating cranes Truck-mounted forklifts Bucket trucks Aerial platforms Conveyors Trucks and trailers Hydraulic and mechanical equipment What You'll Do Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems Troubleshoot equipment and determine the cause of failures Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service Perform annual DOT inspections Complete warranty repairs Respond to emergency and unscheduled repair needs when necessary Perform welding and fabrication as needed Read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation Complete service reports and work orders Communicate repair findings and recommendations to the Service Manager Order parts and maintain accurate parts and labor records Keep the shop and work area safe, clean, and organized What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can diagnose problems and turn a wrench , not someone who needs to be told what to do every step of the way.

Required:

3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience Strong hydraulic troubleshooting experience Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience repairing heavy equipment, trucks, cranes, forklifts, or similar equipment Welding experience Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation Ability to work independently and solve problems Basic computer skills High school diploma or GED Must provide your own basic hand tools Experience with articulating cranes, truck-mounted equipment, bucket trucks, or utility equipment is a strong plus.
