Job Description

Phoenix Processor LP is hiring for a Marine Engineer with QMED Rating for work on board the M/V Excellence. The M/V Excellence is an at sea fish processor that operates approximately 9 months per year at sea during 4 separate fisheries. Average rotation period is 60-90 days sharing work between port and time at sea.
Essential functions include:
As directed, routine maintenance of the propulsion, auxiliary and mechanical systems Maintain a working knowledge of company, ship and government safety policies and regulations Care, use and documentation of ship's critical spare parts, inventory, consumables Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude Experience with electrical and refrigeration experience and certification is a plus Ability to work independently and as a team to prioritize projects and daily maintenance Requirements Prefer candidates with prior experience working on ships, preferably at sea. Experience in the fishing industry would be a plus. It is a physically demanding job and you must be fit for duty, able to lift 50 lbs without assistance, manage stairs and ladders, and be able to work in small or confined spaces. Prefer candidates with current USCG Merchant Mariner Credential with QMED rating, STCW, Medical Certificate and TWIC. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with match
Salary Range:
$60-$90K depending on experience and number of days.
