Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Shop Mechanic, where you will be the backbone of our maintenance and repair operations for a wide range of heavy equipment, vehicles, and industrial machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections and comprehensive repairs on heavy equipment such as Kubota tractors, Kubota mowers and zero-turns, and STIHL handheld equipment, to ensure optimal performance. Depending on experience, work may also include Kubota and Hitachi mini excavators, compact track loaders, and other compact equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs with precision. Conduct maintenance on vehicle systems including suspensions, brakes, hydraulics. Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble parts or repair damaged components. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and preventive maintenance activities; ensure compliance with safety standards. Support heavy lifting operations safely when handling large components or machinery during repairs or replacements. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment operation and vehicle maintenance is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across a variety of systems including hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Expertise in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic software. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance machinery. Experience working with industrial equipment such as forklifts, excavators, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Ability to read technical schematics accurately and follow detailed repair procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and teamwork in a service-oriented environment. Kubota, STIHL, diesel, hydraulic, electrical, or compact construction equipment experience is a plus. Small engine, turf, tractor, agricultural, or construction equipment experience is preferred.
