Job Description
Aring Equipment Company, Inc., a leading heavy construction/aggregate equipment dealer, is looking for a field service technician. Help build on Aring's 80 years of success by joining our growing team of qualified technicians.
Location:
Slinger, WI area
Openings:
Field technician (Field techs will be provided a company service vehicle & are home every night)
Shift:
1st shift, Monday thru Friday. Sometimes technicians will need to work outside of normal working hours depending on job load. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues on construction equipment. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive service on crushers, screens, conveyors, loaders, excavators, and haul trucks. Troubleshoot breakdowns in the field or plant to minimize downtime. Repair or replace components such as bearings, belts, rollers, pumps, hoses, cylinders, and engines. Conduct welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment repairs or modifications. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage logs. Collaborate with plant operators, supervisors, and production teams to prioritize repairs. Follow all safety protocols and ensure equipment is operating within compliance standards. Skills Experience as a heavy equipment technician, diesel mechanic, or construction equipment mechanic. Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic codes. Welding and fabrication skills (MIG, stick, cutting torch) preferred. Comfortable working in quarry, plant, or outdoor environments with dust, noise, and varying weather. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and have a willingness to learn. Basic computer skills and technical skills are a must.
