Job Description

Service Technician, Propane & Refined Fuel Trucks Felker Truck & Equipment Inc. | Dale, WI About Us Felker Truck & Equipment builds, repairs, and services propane and refined fuel delivery trucks for marketers across the region. You'll work in a shop where the equipment is specialized, the work is varied, and the customers depend on their trucks running safely every day. The Role You'll diagnose and repair propane and refined fuel delivery trucks and perform required annual inspections. You'll work independently on most jobs and take ownership of quality and safety on every truck that leaves the shop. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair truck electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, controls, PTO, and pump and meter electrical Locate and repair leaks on plumbing, valves, hoses, fittings, and tank connections Rebuild and repair propane and refined fuel pumps (vane, regenerative turbine, and centrifugal) Perform annual inspections and tests (DOT, VK, IP) and complete accurate documentation Maintain and repair truck-mounted equipment, including valves, relief valves, hose reels, and delivery components Write clear repair orders with parts, labor, and findings Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards for every repair and inspection Keep your work area, tools, and equipment organized and safe Communicate with the service manager on job status, parts needs, and customer issues Requirements 2+ years of experience in truck, trailer, or industrial equipment repair (propane or fuel delivery experience is a strong plus) Solid electrical diagnostic skills, including reading wiring diagrams and using a multimeter Mechanical aptitude for plumbing, pump, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems Ability to work safely around flammable products and pressurized systems Own basic hand tools Valid driver's license with a clean record Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in tight spaces, at heights, and in varying weather when needed Preferred CDL with tanker endorsement
NPGA CETP
certifications Experience with cargo tank inspection and testing requirements Welding or fabrication skills Training We'll train the right person on our inspection procedures, quality standards, and equipment. Attitude, work ethic, and mechanical skill matter more than a perfect resume.
