Job Description

DESCRIPTION
Perform repairs to Caterpillar and allied equipment at both Power Systems facility and Customer locations. Install new equipment and component parts. Perform standard work assignments, without supervision, according to needs of customer and company. Will be assigned a company service truck and may be dispatched from home or company shop as required
Compensation:
up to $45.65 per hour.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent Demonstrated technical, mechanical and troubleshooting abilities to define and perform maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar and Allied Equipment without supervision to meet standards Maintain a valid commercial driver's license and have the ability to operate company service trucks under DOT regulations Ability to read, write and comprehend technical service manuals Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills Preferred EPG certificate
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform repairs to Caterpillar and Allied Power Generation, Marine, and Industrial equipment, at customer's location or at Company facility as directed using appropriate tooling and test equipment to capably complete to work in a timely and efficient manner with high level of quality Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems prior to repairs and test upon completion of repairs to assure quality Operate material handling equipment if required May be required to stay overnight near job site, travel to another branch and be available to provide service to customers on a 24-hour, seven day a week basis Can use test equipment to analyze, evaluate and locate problems. Confer with customer and/or supervisor or make independent on the job decisions when necessary. Must follow Company work rules, job safety procedures and comply with any DOT rules that may be applicable to this position Project a positive Company image by interacting with fellow employees, customers and management in a cooperative, supportive and courteous manner; display an attitude of professionalism; comply with company dress code Maintain assigned service truck in safe, clean, operable condition. Obey state and company rules of the road If accident occurs, fill out reports promptly Write service reports at job sites and have signed by customer; keep accurate time on job and turn in time cards in a timely manner Ensure accuracy of work orders by charging parts and labor to proper work order segments Must be willing to work overtime as required to maintain customer satisfaction and work flow of Power Systems Commercial Service department Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
