Appliance/Repair Technician - Full Time Appliances 4 Less - Mobile, AL Appliances 4 Less is seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Appliance / Repair Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for appliance testing, troubleshooting, repairs, inventory support, and maintaining an organized work environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to assist with sales and other store operations when the repair workload is light at Store Manager's request. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, and repair household appliances Thoroughly test appliances to verify proper operation before they are placed for sale Identify mechanical and electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs Perform repairs according to company procedures and quality standards Assist with unloading delivery trucks and safely moving appliances Assist with receiving, organizing, and staging incoming inventory Maintain a clean, organized, and safe repair area, warehouse, and work environment Properly maintain and organize tools and equipment Prepare appliances for sale and ensure they meet company testing standards Assist the sales team and customers when repair and testing work is not busy Support general store operations as needed Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards When the repair and testing workload is light, the technician will assist with retail sales and customer service ( at Store Manager's discretion) The technician will be expected to develop product knowledge and provide professional assistance to customers when helping with sales. Training Training will be provided according to Appliances 4 Less company standards and procedures. Previous appliance repair experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong mechanical ability, reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Qualifications Appliance repair experience preferred Mechanical or electrical experience strongly preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Comfortable working with hand tools and basic equipment Able to safely lift, move, and position appliances Reliable, punctual, and responsible Strong attention to detail Maintains a clean and organized work area Works well independently and as part of a team Professional communication and customer service skills Willingness to assist with sales and other store responsibilities Ability to follow company procedures and standards Open availability, including weekends and holidays, preferred What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that this position requires more than simply repairing appliances.
