Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Appliance Delivery & Installation Helper to join our team in Chicago. This position involves assisting with the delivery, handling, setup, and installation of household appliances at residential customer locations. The ideal candidate should be physically capable, dependable, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working on the road at different locations throughout the Chicago area. Duties Assist the delivery driver with loading, unloading, moving, and safely handling appliances from the truck to customers' homes. Assist with the delivery and installation of refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, ovens, dishwashers, and other household appliances. Assist with connecting and setting up appliances according to manufacturer installation guidelines and safety procedures. Safely move and position heavy appliances using proper lifting techniques, dollies, straps, and other appropriate equipment. Assist with basic installation tasks involving water connections, drainage, electrical connections, leveling, securing, and positioning when applicable and within the scope of the position. Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly. Assist with basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and installation-related issues at customer locations. Maintain a clean and organized work area and protect customers' homes and property during deliveries and installations. Provide professional, respectful, and courteous customer service at every delivery location. Work closely with the driver and installation team to complete daily routes efficiently and safely. Requirements Previous hands-on experience with appliance delivery and installation is strongly preferred. Candidates with proven experience installing refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, or other household appliances will be given priority. Previous experience with appliance delivery, handyman work, construction, moving, maintenance, or similar hands-on work is also a plus. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical connections, mechanical work, or appliance installation is preferred. Ability to safely lift, carry, move, and position heavy appliances. Ability to work on your feet and travel to different residential locations throughout the workday. Must have your own basic hand tools and power tools required for the position. Reliable, punctual, and responsible with a strong work ethic. Professional attitude and good communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Must have full availability to work throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, with no major scheduling restrictions. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have all required work authorization documents in order. Compensation & Earning Opportunities $190 per day. Additional tips may be earned depending on the job and customer. Performance-based bonuses may be available. Additional earning opportunities may be available based on performance, reliability, and available work.
