Appliance Repair Technician Boston, MA Area | Residential & Commercial Service $30-$40/hr + Performance Bonuses + Company Support We're working with a growing appliance repair company in the Boston market that's looking to add an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely knows their trade, enjoys solving problems, takes pride in doing quality work, and wants to be part of a company that values professionalism without all the corporate nonsense. This role is ideal for a technician who can work independently, communicate well with customers, and handle both the technical and customer-facing side of service calls with confidence. They are looking for someone who wants to be part of a solid team long-term, not just someone bouncing from company to company. The company handles both residential and commercial appliance repair, so there is a good mix of work and technical variety throughout the week. What You'll Be Doing Diagnose and repair residential and commercial appliances Troubleshoot refrigerators, ice machines, ovens, ranges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and more Handle sealed system repairs and refrigeration work Read schematics and wiring diagrams to properly diagnose issues Communicate clearly with homeowners and business customers regarding findings and repair options Document service notes, parts used, and completed work through mobile software Maintain an organized and professional service vehicle Deliver high-quality workmanship while representing the company professionally in the field What They're Looking For 10+ years of appliance repair experience preferred Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability Experience with residential or commercial appliances required, both is a major plus 5+ years of sealed system/refrigeration experience EPA Section 608 Certification strongly preferred Comfortable reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Strong customer communication and professionalism Organized, dependable, and self-motivated Comfortable using mobile dispatch/service software in the field Valid driver's license with a clean driving record What Makes Someone Successful Here Takes ownership of their work and doesn't cut corners Can think through problems instead of just swapping parts Communicates professionally with customers and teammates Works well independently without needing constant oversight Stays calm under pressure and handles challenges professionally Wants to continue learning and improving their craft Shows up consistently and takes pride in representing the company the right way Compensation & Perks $30-$40/hr depending on experience Annual performance bonuses Steady year-round work Supportive team environment Opportunity to work on a wide range of equipment and systems Long-term growth opportunity with a company that values experienced technicians If you're an experienced appliance technician looking for a long-term opportunity with a solid team, strong leadership, and a company that respects skilled tradespeople, we'd love to connect.
